Selected data and study scope

This dataset contains bulk RNA-seq data from Mus musculus, sampled from arcuate nucleus. The default comparison examines gene expression in Female NeuN-positive PND35 relative to Female NeuN-positive PND12.

The explorer includes 1 track and 1 comparison for this dataset.

The default track, Arcuate NeuN-positive nuclei, includes 5 Female NeuN-positive PND12 samples and 5 Female NeuN-positive PND35 samples in this comparison. These are analysis sample counts. Check the source for biological replication and pooling.

Interpretation and limitations

The preparation enriches the selected cell population. Interpret expression within that population. Check the source for sorting markers and sample pooling.

Expression values use DESeq2 variance-stabilized expression. Keep this unit when exporting or comparing values. Values on other normalization scales are not directly interchangeable.

Evidence and verification

Pipeline QC passed. Mouse arcuate neurons — postnatal development; all 1 registered contrasts on default track arc_neun

Experimental design passed. Mouse arcuate neurons — postnatal development; all 1 registered contrasts on default track arc_neun

Author concordance not assessed. Author effect concordance has not been assessed

Pipeline QC can pass while experimental-design limitations remain. Read both assessments before interpreting results.

Open the dataset in the Explorer to read each check and its evidence. Author concordance compares effects for matched genes. It does not require identical author P values or FDR.

Source study

RNA-seq of FANS-sorted NeuN-positive arcuate nuclei from five independent four-mouse tissue pools at PND12 and five at PND35, all female. The primary sampling selected one mouse per sex per litter; each pool counts once. Male, NeuN-negative, and WGBS samples are excluded; the deposited DESeq2 variance-stabilized values are analyzed unchanged (PMID 36170368; GSE189945)
