Selected data and study scope

This dataset contains bulk RNA-seq data from Mus musculus, sampled from arcuate nucleus. The default comparison examines gene expression in AM833 / cagrilintide relative to Vehicle.

The explorer includes 1 track and 1 comparison for this dataset.

The default track, Arcuate nucleus (ARC), includes 7 Vehicle samples and 8 AM833 / cagrilintide samples in this comparison. These are analysis sample counts. Check the source for biological replication and pooling.

Interpretation and limitations

The measurement combines expression from the cells in the tissue sample. A difference in tissue expression alone does not identify which cell type contributes to it.

Expression values use log2(gene-summed TPM + 1). Keep this unit when exporting or comparing values. Values on other normalization scales are not directly interchangeable.

Evidence and verification

Pipeline QC passed. Mouse arcuate nucleus — cagrilintide response (bulk RNA-seq); all 1 registered contrasts on default track arcuate

Experimental design passed. Mouse arcuate nucleus — cagrilintide response (bulk RNA-seq); all 1 registered contrasts on default track arcuate

Author concordance not assessed. Author effect concordance has not been assessed

Pipeline QC can pass while experimental-design limitations remain. Read both assessments before interpreting results.

Open the dataset in the Explorer to read each check and its evidence. Author concordance compares effects for matched genes. It does not require identical author P values or FDR.

Source study

Wild-type 129/Sv-mouse arcuate nucleus, seven deposited vehicle vs eight deposited AM833/cagrilintide-treated animals; knockout, salmon-calcitonin, area-postrema and LPBN arms are excluded. The series and paper resolve the RNA-seq dose as 3 nmol/kg, while individual sample records retain stale 0.3 nmol/kg labels. The paper reports six replicates per condition and only two unidentified CountQC ARC exclusions, which cannot reconcile 15 deposits with its 12-sample cohort; this therefore remains an all-deposited-sample analysis rather than the exact author cohort (PMID 40609154; GSE296488)
